People can still win a super-sized Snoopy, residing in the window of Fishguard's Edelweiss Antiques, and help raise money for three good causes.

The colossal cuddly toy is being auctioned to raise cash for NSPCC, Age Concern and Shelter. The auction was supposed to end on December 20th, however in order to raise as much cash as possible for the three charities, it is now being extended to Valentine's Day.

The vintage Snoopy, the star of the antiques shop's Christmas window, stands at 4'6" and is a true original. He was won in a Radio Sheffield raffle 40 years ago by Vicky's best friend and was left languishing in the loft for decades until Vicky bought him at the end of last year.

"Since I put him in the window he has created such a stir," said Vicky. "He is in excellent condition. I can't price him. I think he must be worth around four figures, but to a dedicated Snoopy collector he would be priceless."

Vicky is putting a reserve of £300 on the titanic toy in order to raise at least £100 for each charity.

"He's a real one off," said Vicky. "I don't want to let him go for nothing. We have done a new window for him. And want to generate £100 at the very least for the three charities."

Secret sealed bids can be submitted by hand to Edelweiss Antiques or via private message on their Facebook page. Bidding closes on February 14th when the winner will be announced.
