TWO special events to celebrate the history of Orielton Community Primary School are taking place later this month.
Orielton Community Primary School in Hundleton has been a rural village primary school since 1873.
After 144 years the school is coming to a close and joining with other schools in the Angle peninsula to make a bigger new school in the village of Hundleton, called Penrhyn Church of Wales VC School.
To celebrate the industrious life of Orielton CP School, it is planned to host events that are open to past pupils, parents, staff and friends of the school to visit.
The first event is an Interactive History Tour on Wednesday July 12, from 1pm-3pm, where visitors can explore the history of the school with small interactive activities led by young tour guides.
The next event is a celebratory party the following Wednesday, July 19, from 2pm-5pm: a fete, barbecue and entertainment for all.
All are welcome to drop in and remember the school, see old photographs, sign the memories book and talk to fellow friends over teas and coffees.
