MP Simon Hart recently visited Pembroke Dock-based Pembrokeshire Cancer Support, which has been running for 26 years, for an update on their work, after they ran an information stand at his 50 Plus Fair in the town last month.
"The Queen Street centre is a fantastic resource and a very welcoming space," said Mr Hart.
He was shown around the office, complementary therapy room and lounge by charity co-ordinator Lyn Neville and support worker Derryn Bevan.
The lounge is used for regular gatherings including weekly crafting and relaxation sessions. Downstairs is a bustling charity shop manned by volunteers.
"There is strength in sharing," said Mr Neville. “Anyone who has cancer or who cares for someone with cancer is welcome.”
