FISHGUARD and Goodwick Chamber of Trade and Tourism has welcomed a new chairman.
Michael Charlton is bowing out after four years in the role, and is replaced by Christina Shand of Dyffryn Fernant Gardens
During the handover, both Michael and Christina congratulated the chamber on its growth from 32 members in 2010 to more than 170 today.
The achievements of the past year have been considerable, especially as there are no paid staff.
Both Stena and Arriva have come on board to help promote local events, and the website www.gofishguard.co.uk and the Fishguard App are also proving successful.
Re-design of the website is underway, and all members have been given their own page to help promote their business.
Journalists from England and Ireland have also been hosted to discover the delights of the twin towns, and their work is already proving effective.
The chamber plays a full part in the Town Team, and relations with the town council and county council are considered better than ever.
