THE Post Office has confirmed its plans to give Goodwick Post Office a much-needed makeover.

The new-look branch will open at 1pm on Friday, 18 July at the current site on Main Street.

Customers will benefit from a new, fully modernised branch with longer opening hours, with services being available from 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, and 7.30am to 1pm on Sunday.

They will also be able to carry out a wide range of Post Office services, including automated banking, bill and budget payment schemes, Post Office card account, postal orders and postage; inland letters and packets (including signed for and special delivery, inland parcels, international letters, small packets and printed papers.

The current branch will close for refurbishment on Tuesday, 8 July. During this period customers can access nearby branches in Fishguard and Croesgoch.

Post Office Regional Network Manager for Wales, Sue Whittall, said: “I am delighted to confirm that we are to make an important investment in our service in Goodwick.

She added: “We know how important the Post Office service is to the community and we feel sure that our customers old and new will welcome the new modern open plan format and longer opening hours. This move will help secure Post Office services in the area for the future.”
