A GROUP of youngsters from Fishguard Girls Football Club took part in a Girls Football Festival held at the Bridge Meadow training pitches in Haverfordwest on Saturday, June 14.
Eight Girls represented the under 12s with a further seven playing for the club's under 14s.
The girls took part in fixtures against teams from Pembrokeshire and some teams from further afield.
Several of the girls were also lucky enough to be selected as ball girls and flag bearers for the Welsh Women’s Fifa World Cup Qualifier against Turkey which took place at the Conygar Bridge Meadow Stadium in glorious sunshine after the festival.
Wales won the game 1-0 courtesy of a goal from Sarah Wiltshire, securing their second spot in Group Six.
The Fishguard girls brush up their football skills in their Sport Pembrokeshire 5x60 sessions which take place on a Thursday after school.
