HELPING HANDS: Pupils in fancy dress hold their charity shoeboxes.
ST AIDAN'S VA School, in Wiston, has been busy collecting shoeboxes for the annual Samaritan's Purse Shoebox Appeal. The school contributes to this worthwhile organisation every year to ensure there are children across the world who will receive a gift at Christmas.
Pupils also recently raised more than £50 by dressing up as their favourite heroes for Children in Need. From Batman to Jedi knights, Welsh ladies to flamenco dancers, everyone looked very smart, and helped raise funds for a great charity.
