A FIT group of Pembrokeshire soldiers ran from Haverfordwest to Neyland and back to raise awareness of the work of Haverfordwest-based Arts engagement service, The VC Gallery.

The 18-mile sponsored run was the brainchild of Haverfordwest soldiers Danny and Craig Reynolds, who belong to the Royal Welsh Regiment.

The brothers were inspired by a visit to the gallery and a meeting with Barry John MBE.

Mr John, who served in the Royal Welsh Regiment for 24 years, set up the gallery in December 2013.

“When the boys knew who was running the VC Gallery, they all wanted to show their support,” said Danny.

Soldiers from the Royal Welsh and one man from the 14 Signals Regiment took part in the run, supported by veterans.
