Two employees at the Haverfordwest branch of the Halifax banking company are taking to the hills today (Friday) to raise a whopping £5,000 for the Children in Need charity.
Halifax is part of the Lloyds Bank and Bank of Scotland group, the first principal partner of this year’s Children in Need.
Plucky pair Amy Craig, 29, and Georgina Gainfort, 35, have been picked from colleagues across the UK to take part in a gruelling challenge to summit 24 peaks in the Lake District, in a target time of 24 hours.
Amy, from Crundale, and Georgina, who hails from Dale, have received support from local businesses and individuals who have helped their cause with advertising, donations and raffle prizes.
In between training for the challenge and their work commitments, the women have also organised several fundraising events with a view to reaching their total.
