Narberth continues to “Get Fruity and Go Nuts”: TransitioNarberth launched Phase Two of the very successful project “Narberth Gets Fruity and Goes Nuts” project at the recent Food Festival.

The aim, as in Phase One, is to get more fruit and nut trees planted in and around Narberth and Llanfallteg over the coming years as a free source of food for the community. Trees are monitored frequently until established during the first year.

Trees will be planted at Bloomfield Centre, Swimming Pool grounds, Narberth County Primary School, Millpond Lane and The Town Moor. In addition, five sites have been secured at Llanfallteg.

Details of where over 130 trees have already planted over can be found on the website transitionarberth.org As last year TransitioNarberth is seeking sponsorship and would ask for a remittance of £25 to cover the cost of a tree, delivery and planting materials.

If you would like to be part of this wonderful project, why not sponsor a tree? Please send details of the tree of your choice - Apple, Pear, Plum or Nut tree with a cheque made payable to TransitioNarberth. Please include you name and address, together with your telephone number and indicate whether you would prefer your tree to be planted in Narberth or Llanfallteg.

Cheques should be posted to TransitioNarberth Fruit and Nut tree project, c/o 1 Green Gardens. Picton Place. Narberth, SA67 7BE Trees will be planted over the winter period sponsors will be informed when and where their tree will be planted.
