A DISCO was held in St Dogmaels on Saturday, June 14 to decide who will be the village's carnival king and queen.

There were 14 applicants this year; Tara Walters, Becca Head, Bethan Johnson, Oliver James, Ella Rachel Davies, Jack Graham, Bobby Thomas, Joe Thomas, Esme James, Tomos Lewis, Molly James, Meia Caygill, Harriet Wigley and Miley Grota.

Each made their case of why they should be chosen and the winners were judged by independent representatives from Hanes Llandudoch.

The carnival court for 2014 is: Ella Rachel Davies, Oliver James, Tara Walters, Molly James and Tomos Lewis.

They will lead St Dogmaels Carnival procession on Saturday, July 26, starting at 2pm from BV Rees, Storws Teifi to St Dogmaels Football Field.

There will be many stalls including a BBQ, ice cream, doughnuts and much more. Entertainment will be provided by Pembrokeshire Falconry, a bouncy castle, bucking bronco, bungee run, Dreams Dance School and The Cellar Bards. The day's activities will be announced by local radio celebrity Tommo. There will be live music into the evening at Party in the Park, with Ellie Fountain, Andrew Millward, Nofa, Rosey Cale, Platform 1, George Higgins and Kyle Kirkhouse taking to the stage.
