Newport Garden Club To Derbyshire and back in one evening -- that was the experience of the Garden Club last Tuesday as Judy Coggins took them on a virtual tour of Chatsworth House Gardens with the help of slides. It was a historical journey through 400 years of garden design. Visit in late May, she said: "The laburnum arch is in full bloom, the azaleas are all out and the bluebells are still in flower."

The next meeting on November 29th will be on the traditional use of native plants in medicine, a talk by Lara Bernays at 7.30pm in the Boat Club.
