YOUNGSTERS from Lamphey Primary School recently took part in the Inter District Schools swimming gala, held in Haverfordwest, with one pupil smashing a near-20 year record.
A great day's swimming saw the Pembroke and district team becoming the overall winners. A special mention goes to Charlie, a Year 6 pupil from Lamphey, who beat the 50m Breaststroke record, which has stood since 1997.
The school would like to thank the coaches, and in particular Mr M Jarvis for encouraging the children to do so well.
