ST DAVIDS Historical Society is hosting an exhibition of what life was like in the city before the First World War.

It is open in the museum at Port y Twr in St Davids throughout August and up until September 20.

On Tuesday, September 9 from 10am to 4pm, people in St Davids and the surrounding areas are invited to bring along pictures, documents and anything associated with the First World War. These items would be, with permission, scanned onto a computer for use on the society’s exhibitions.

Then on Monday, September 15 from 7.30pm there will be the first meeting of the new term at Ty'r Pererin. The Bishop of St Davids Rt Rev. J. Wyn Evans will speak on Peregrinatio, Travel or Pilgrimage?

And on Monday, September 29 at 3pm, there will be a trip to Penrhiw Priory to find out about the history and the current use of the house.

A guided tour will be given by Keith Griffiths.
