He was born at Tynewydd Farm in Hundleton to Fred and Annie and was predeceased by brothers Freddie and Gordon. Senny was educated at Hundleton School, then at the age of ten he passed into the Grammar School in Pembroke Dock and rode there every day on his bicycle.

The unusual name Senlis came from a French town close to the Somme where his father was stationed in the First World War.

Senny took an interest in most sports and enjoyed travel, he toured extensively in Britain then later to Europe and to China, Indonesia, Canada, America, New Zealand and Australia.

John and Elizabeth took over the business in the 1990’s so in later years Senny had more time for his garden and enjoyed first judging then entering the annual charity garden show in Angle. He won the overall shield for the most points many times and donated his produce to be auctioned to raise money for the church, school or village.

He donated a new shield for this years show.
