J. J. Morris reports: A moderate entry of pedigree Limousin cattle on behalf of the South Wales and Mid West Limousin Breeders.

Females sold to 3,700gns for Sherry Vanessa with her June born bull calf from Jones, Bowley, Hereford, sold to Griffiths, Llangain.

Others sold to 2,800gns for Angiean Vixen with her June born bull calf from Brown, Colby Moor Lane, and bought by Williams, Clynderwen. Jones, Heol sold Heol Aurora with an April heifer calf for 1,500gns to Thomas, Llanybydder and Heol Alwen with a heifer calf for 1,450gns to Roberts and son, Lisvane.

In-calf heifers sold to 1,250gns for Cwmpedran Belladona to Roberts and son, Lisvane, who also bought Wellhouse Bonfire fro 1,040gns.

Bulling heifers: 2,400gns, Cwmpedran Chocolatechip, Roberts and son, Lisvane; 1,850gns, Sherry Clementine, Williams and son, Welshpool; 1,150gns, Fleethill Betsy, Ellis, Cornwall; 1,100gns, Tynewydd Coffee, Roberts and son.

Bulls sold to a selective trade with1,850gns for Gower Cosmo to Powell, Erwood and 1,500gns for Fleethill Connolly to Thomas, Clynderwen.

J. J. Morris reports: Another busy market, with more than 900 fat lambs, and a brisk trade throughout. Quality in the cull ewe section was very mixed and there were a few more calves entered .

J. J. Morris reports: A good entry of lambs (705), with trade in line with the national average. Again the greatest demand was for premium types, which sold to: 128p, Fairclough, Frowen, Login and Bowen, Kyngadle Farm, Laugharne; 127p, Evans, Frondeg, Bwlchnewydd Road; 127p, Morgan, Myrtle Hill Farm, Cresselly.

Top prices per head: £59, Thomas, Llainlas, Meidrim; £58.50, Saer, Rhosgoch, Red Roses; £58.40, Williams, Llandawke West Farm, Laugharne.

Non-approved lambs sold to £40.50 and an average of £32.05.

Cull ewes and rams (433): An improved entry, with the greatest demand for heavier types, which averaged £41.76 while lighter types averaged £16.56.

Top prices: £57, Jones, Blaencwm, Crymych; £55, Richards, Tegfryn, Pumsaint; £50, Windsor and son, Fforest Fach, Whitland.

Overage cattle and barren cows (21): A good entry with trade in line with the national average. Overall average 95.61ppk, or £591 per head. Barren cows sold to 120p from Morgan, Upper Bletherston, Clarbeston Road and Rees, Avola Farm, Red Roses.

Top prices per head: £860, Rees, Avola Farm, Red Roses; £830, Morgan, Upper Bletherston, Clarbeston Road, £750, Thomas and son, Carswell Farm, St Florence.

Bulls sold to a top price per kilo of 104p from Windsor and son, Fforest Farm, Whitland and top price per head of £880 from Hawkins, Blaenwerneirch, Cwmfelin Boeth, Overage heifers sold to £770 from Morgan, Upper Bletherston, Clarbeston Road and overage steers sold to £1,055 from Davies, Seven Acres, Whitland.

Fat cattle: A small entry sold to a brisk trade. Steers sold to an average price per kilo of 137.92p while heifers averaged 121.46.

Top price per kilo was 145.5p from Rees, Avola Farm, Red Roses, which was the top price of £1,164.

Heifers sold to a top price of £866 from Rees, Avola Farm, Red Roses.

Calves: A good entry resulting in a top price of £200 for a bull calf from Phillips, East Regwm Farm, Whitland. Others: £180, Rees, Plasbach, Login; £160, Reynolds, Sarland Farm, Laugharne.

Heifers sold to a top price of £160 for a Simmental from Phillips, East Regwm Farm, Whitland.

BJP reports: Trade remained strong with heifers and cows of the highest quality and another large entry of calves.
