Neyland (147 for 8) beat Haverfordwest (144 all out)

Patrick Hannon was the undoubted hero as Neyland leapfrogged Haverfordwest into top spot in the table as a result of their narrow two-wicket win at the Athletic Ground.

Hannon Claimed 4 for 29 as he led the Neyland bowling attack in restricting The Town to 144 all out and then chipped in with a very important 31 not out to steer his side to the top of the table.

Simon Holliday (24), Huw Scriven (17), Josh Wilment (27) and Nigel Morgan (29 not out) helped steer Haverfordwest to a bigger total than seemed likely at one stage as they lurched to 81 for 9 before Wilment joined Morgan at the crease in a lastditch effort. Patrick Hannon was joined by Nick Koomen (2-25), Gary Lloyd (2 for 20), Nathan Banner (1 for 22) and Andrew Miller (1 for 13) in taking wickets for the home side.

Neyland skipper Gregg Miller (seven fours in his 30) then gave Neyland a better start as he joined forces with Ashley Sutton (28) and Koomen (24) as Ashley James (3 for 47) was joined by left-armers Ajay Ravu (2 for 28) and Nigel Morgan (2 for 9) in getting amongst the wickets – but Patrick Hannon stayed calm as he stroked four fours and a six so that Neyland were deserved victors on the day.
