Narberth 3 Johnston 2

LEAGUE leaders Narberth edged a five-goal thriller with Johnston at Jesse Road.

This game was rightly billed as the 'Match of the Day' and it didn't disappoint.

The hosts were two-up with barely 13 minutes on the clock. Morgan Preece danced through the Tigers' defence for a brilliant solo goal. Minutes later and Tony Evans got on the end of a by-line cross from Matthew Price.

Nicky Woodrow pulled a goal back in the 30th minute, as the score line read 2-1 to Narberth at half time.

Twenty minutes after the interval and striker Evans latched onto a long ball over the top from Simon Cole to score his second goal of an epic game.

Six minutes from full time and Luke Hayward rounded keeper John Durbridge and scored from a tight angle that kept the Tigers in the hunt.

Then with the last play of the game defender Dorian Davies cleared a shot off the line for Narberth, and this result secured the Bluebirds third win from four starts.
