St Ishmaels 3

Johnston 7

JOHNSTON has finally hit the ground running after an indifferent start to their campaign.

The Tigers led 4-1 at half time and added three further goals in the second period to run out comfortable winners at struggling Tish.

Nicky Woodrow scored the first on his four goals in the tenth minute. Lewy Davies equalised with a header for Tish three minutes later. Woodrow headed home a Stephen Dockerty cross into the box in the 30th minute. Joe John fired home the third and Woodrow found the bottom corner for goal number four.

Steve Mills added the fifth with his trademark free-kick. Jack Palmer pulled tow goal back for Tish, the latter from the penalty spot.

But the Tigers finished strongly as Luke Hayward made no mistake with a penalty and Woodrows stunning volley completed the rout.
