Hakin United 5

St Clears 2

LEAGUE leaders Hakin United strolled to a comfortable five-goal victory over St Clears at the Observatory.

Champions Hakin failed to find the back of the net in the first half and also went a goal behind when Josh Jones struck shortly after half-time. But Ashley Bevan bagged a hat-trick in 12 minutes and put the Vikings in control. He nodded in Steve Allen’s cross for his first; he also scored with his head for the second and completed the treble with a terrific 20-yard strike.

Bevan assisted for the fourth that was scored by Aaro0n Owens before Jones scored his second of the game for the gritty Saints.

But the Vikings put the result beyond doubt as James Stanmore struck for his side’s fifth and secured their 13th win of the season and they are the only team in the top flight to remain unbeaten.
