WRU Division One:
Haverfordwest 43-0 Barry
HAVERFORDWEST Ladies RFC were back in action on Sunday, securing a 43-0 home win over Barry.
The Lady Blues had not played for three weeks and it showed at times, with the visitors competing well in the scrum and at the breakdown.
But quality play in attack saw tries come from scrum half Helen Finnan (2), full back Clodagh Llewhellin, flanker Awen Prysor and outside half Joanna Price (2), who certainly had her kicking boots on with five conversions and a penalty.
Both teams competed with a bare 15 players and player of the match was awarded to Cardiff Blues regular Awen Prysor, who was outstanding in both attack and defence.
There were also good carries from Nina Colville, Rachel Finnan and Natalie Bowen.
The score did not reflect the effort of the visitors however, who battled until the 80th minute.
Haverfordwest: Natasha Thomas, Natalie Bowen, Louisa Weinfeld, Kate Allen, Angharad Thomas, Awen Prysor, Lyn Egelstaff, Nina Colville, Helen Finnan, Joanna Price, Rachel Finnan, Lisa Neumann, Emily Carrington, Jess Apperley, Clodagh Llewhellin.
