Pembroke County Cricket Club Division 1: Johnston (48 all out) lost to Burton (52-2) by 8 wickets

Burton face an uphill task to stay up on the final day - but Richard Jones and co at least have hope with this quickfire win against Johnston leaving them 17 points off Kilgetty.

Whilst not batting first prevented them getting the 30 point win they would have liked, they at least managed victory before rain threatened to scupper their chances.

The home side will be glad to reach the end of the season and this game followed a familiar pattern - batting first and being shot out cheaply.

Keegan Codd (12) and Chris Goodridge (9) scored 21 of the 48 runs made, but Morgan Scale ripped through the line up with 5-11, and is uncle Jonny Scale wasn’t far behind with 4-22.

Luke Hayman (1-12) helped round things off. Toby Hayman didn’t mess about in the reply as he hit 30 not out, as Hafiz Farooq and Kevin Roberts took wickets in vain for the home team.

So Burton must win at home to Tish next week to have any chance of surviving, and rely on Whitland convincingly beating Kilgetty.
