Monkton Swifts 4.

Neyland 0.

Marcus Taylor and Paul Lowe scored two goals each in the Swifts’ expected home victory over fourth from bottom Neyland.

Hakin picked up a draw at Clarbeston Road and Pennar Robins lost at Solva, this result sees the Swifts remain third.

However, the Swifts did close the gap to three points on leaders Hakin United, and are on the same points as the Robins, but Benno Jones’ side have the comfort of a game in hand.

The hosts took the lead midway through the first period, Lowe making no mistake from the penalty spot and that’s how it stayed until the interval.

With a strong wind advantage in the second period the Swifts dominated.

Taylor in a rich vein of scoring form grabbed the next two goals. His first with beautiful left-foot curler and his second was a firmly placed header inside the box.

The flighty Swifts finished the way that they started the game, with Lowe firing in the fourth and final goal from the penalty spot.
