Hakin United 1
Tenby 2

Tenby go top of the table after a surprise victory over champions Hakin United at the Observatory.

Mike Lewis’ Seasiders have had a brilliant return to the top flight in this campaign, and were delighted to come from behind and gain a thoroughly deserved win.

Gary Dawes’ Vikings took the lead in the fifth minute. The visitors failed to clear the danger from inside the box, and James Stanmore reacted quickest to find the back of Jake Roberts’ net.

The home side will surely be kicking themselves that they didn’t go on and score any more goals in the opening 45 minutes.

Within a minute of the restart after the break, Tenby equalised through Daryl Mansbridge.

Five minutes later and they took the lead. Dean Rossiter headed Tom Meirion’s pinpoint cross home at the far post.

On the hour mark and Mansbridge added his second of the game, the lively striker beat Vikings’ keeper Adrian Devonald to a 50/50 ball, and as the third rolled into the empty net, there was no way back for the Vikings.
