Clarbeston Road 1
Pennar Robins 3

Darren Shaw scored twice to help Pennar Robins overcome a determined Clarbeston Road outfit.

This thoroughly deserved victory puts the Robins up to third in the table, while the Road slip down to 12th.

Dai Patterson set-up his son Nathan Patterson for the opener on the 15th minute mark.

Midway through the first period and the Robins’ extended their lead. A long throw-in by Ben Nicholas into the box, allowed Dean Driscoll to dummy and Shaw to canter in and score from close range.

The home outfit pulled a goal back on the hour mark. Dai Davies struck Stuart James’ post, only for striker Richard Bevan to make no mistake with the resulting rebound.

However, the Robins put the victory beyond doubt when they were awarded a penalty after substitute Marcus Lyons was hauled down in the box by Road keeper Lee Scott. Shaw took responsibility and hammered home from 12-yards.
