Haverfordwest RFC will be the new home of a girls under-18 rugby team, as the new season fast approaches.
Training began last week and will continue every Wednesday from 6pm to 7.30pm at the rugby club, Pembroke Road, Merlins Bridge.
The coaching team consists of Clodagh Llewhellin, an Ulster ladies player, who has recently moved across from Ireland, and Emma Summons, who is currently playing with Whitland RFC and also a member of the Scarlets Ladies.
Delyth Summons, the treasurer of Haverfordwest RFC has played a vital part in establishing the new girls team, which has the full support of the club committee.
Anyone wanting to join the team is welcome. All players must be at least 15 years old on September 1st, 2010 and under 18 on the same date. No experience is needed.
