Senior cup A BRACE of goals from Dan Wilks earned Prendergast Villa sweet cup success over division two derby rivals West Dragons.
The Villa lost one-nothing in an earlier league encounter at home to their rivals, but deservedly gained sweet revenge in this five-goal battle.
The visitors took an early lead when Ben Skudder scored direct from a corner. Ten minutes before the interval and Wilks equalised, the defender pushing up and drilling a low shot from the edge of the area past Andrew Mathias.
Villa’s Guy White and Wilks scored further goals in the second period to put them in the ascendancy, despite Scott Crawford scoring a late consolation effort for the visitors.
