JAMES Russell struck an 80th minute winner for Monkton Swifts to earn them a thrilling victory over close neighbours Pennar Robins.
As with any derby the formbook can be thrown, and this clash was no exception, serving up a humdinger of a cup-tie.
The Swifts led 3-1 at the break thanks to goals scored by Lee Brockway, Ben Jones and Sean Jones, despite trailing to an early strike from Pennar’s Jonny Hyde.
Johnny Badrock and Dean Lawrence both scored in the second half to level matters.
However, ten minutes from the end Russell struck a wicked half volley in the roof of the net to settle this seven-goal bonanza.
