Lamphey (138 for 6) beat Burton (135 all out)
BURTON'S recent run of good form was brought to an abrupt halt at Lamphey as they were dismissed by the basement battlers before Lamphey reached their target with plenty in hand.
Morgan Scale (18), William Ridge (13), Gavin Campbell (12) and Neville Davies (13) all got started but then got out for Burton and it was left to brothers Rob and Mark Griffiths to take Burton to 135 not out with respective scores of 21 and 22 not out against Steve Vale (2 for 22), Neil Powling (2 for 55), and David Blackwell (2 for 22).
Lamphey also lost wickets against Morgan Scale (4 for 40) and Gavin Campbell (1 for 32) but good batting by opener Peter McGilloway (five fours and a six in his 54) was supported by 41 not out from No 7 Nick Shelmerdine as Lamphey enjoyed only their second win of the season.
